Inflables DB

The real database behind my own business: bookings, inventory and clients, with six dashboards to see it.

6dashboards delivered

The problem

Astefil needed a real database: multi-item, multi-employee bookings, inventory and customer analytics — not a spreadsheet.

What I did

Modeled the normalized ERD and implemented it in T-SQL: CRUD stored procedures with table types for complex bookings, views, and trigger-based auditing. On top, built six Grafana dashboards: customers, inventory and bookings.

The outcome

Databases II final project on my own real business case.

From model to dashboard

  1. Normalized ERDInput
  2. T-SQL implementationOn SQL Server
  3. CRUD stored proceduresTable types for bookings
  4. Business viewsClients, inventory, bookings
  5. Trigger-based auditingWho changed what
  6. Six Grafana dashboardsOutput

An inflatables booking touches several items and several employees at once, which is exactly what a spreadsheet cannot represent. The normalized model solves that, and table types let the whole booking be inserted in a single call.
